I’m excited to announce that I have a new creation to share some info about, and I think will interest everyone!
To explain why this project has come to exist, let me give you an insight into my process as a knitting designer:
I look through my stitch dictionaries to see what pops out for the project I have in mind. Then I test my stitch pattern, since most are written for projects in the flat and I much prefer working in the round. I start knitting a beautiful new accessory. Then, when I’m done, I realize I haven’t written down a single thing about my procedure or modifications. Oops! I make another try, writing down everything I can remember in my little Twilight notebook, and undoubtedly missing some silly but important step. I start to transfer everything into MS Word and – oh no! – I never wrote down my needle size …
If this sounds familiar, you’ll understand why I’m introducing a fresh new product to ease the design process for knit and crochet designers!
I’ve been working with a well-known creative fairy to make an awesome, pretty, useful aid for my fellow knitwear designers. Am I spiking your curiosity? Well, starting July 9, I have planned a whole week of details about the product and extra tidbits to make this whole designing business a reality. Stay tuned!
