Finished Measurements:
3" wide unstretched, 8" long (7.5cm x 20cm)
Materials:
Yarn: 1 ball of worsted weight yarn ex. Red Heart Comfort
Needles: 1 #8US (5mm) circular for magic loop OR 1 set #8US (5mm) DPN(s) OR size needed to match gauge.
1 stitch marker
1 tapestry needle
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows in Stockinette stitch in the round to make 4x4" (10x10 cm)
Instructions:
Special skills: This pattern was made in the round using the magic loop method. You can also use the double pointed needles to get the same results.
Cast on 36 sts using knitted cast on or long tail cast on. Join in round being careful not to twist, and place marker to indicate beginning of round.
*K2, P2, *repeat to end of round
Continue working in (k2, p2) ribbing pattern for 8 inches or your desired length.
Bind off in pattern.
Notes: When using a circular needle, divide the stitches in half and knit as per method of Magic Loop. If using double pointed needles (dpn) place 12 stitches on three needles and use the forth needle to knit in a circle.
Finishing: Weave in ends.
